Two practices. One advisor. AI transformation for medium to large enterprises — and patient voice strategy for healthcare and autoimmune organizations of every size — both grounded in 15+ years of measurable outcomes.
About
Veronica Vargas Lupo brings a perspective you won't find in most advisory firms: the precision of a seasoned enterprise strategist and the conviction of someone who has fought for a seat at the table. It's this combination — hard-won operational expertise and deeply personal purpose — that defines The VVG Group.
The Executive
Over 12 years at IBM — rising from Senior Consultant to Associate Partner in IBM Consulting's Retail & AI Strategy practice — Veronica led some of the most complex business transformation engagements in the industry. She championed IBM's own Quote-to-Cash transformation, delivering a 50% reduction in cycle time and $2B in savings. For Walmart, she pioneered a generative AI-powered demand forecasting solution that generated $70M in annual savings.
At IBM, she also led strategic partnerships with Adobe and Salesforce — orchestrating go-to-market strategies, multimillion-dollar negotiations, and joint solution launches that produced 500% year-over-year growth in partner-attributed technology revenue.
Her work spans retail, CPG, pharma, and enterprise technology, always bridging the gap between visionary strategy and executable operations.
The Advocate
At 21, Veronica was diagnosed with lupus — a turning point that, rather than defining her limitations, expanded her sense of purpose. Over the past 18+ years she has channeled her lived experience into structural change, becoming one of the most recognized patient advocates in the lupus community.
She serves as Co-Chair of the Lupus Voices Council for the Lupus ABC public-private partnership, a novel FDA-aligned consortium designed to accelerate clinical trial innovation and integrate patient-reported outcomes into research and regulatory frameworks. She is also a Board Member of the Lupus Research Alliance and has served as a mentor to young women navigating a lupus diagnosis.
Honored as the Lupus Research Alliance's Woman of Achievement (2018), Veronica brings the same rigor she applies in the boardroom to the work of reshaping healthcare systems around the patient.

Services
The VVG Group serves two distinct client types: medium to large enterprises moving from AI curiosity to AI advantage, and healthcare and autoimmune organizations of any size — nonprofit or industry — ready to put the patient at the center of their work. Every engagement is built around your specific context, not a generic framework.
Before investing in AI, you need an honest picture of where you stand. This engagement evaluates your organization's data infrastructure, talent landscape, governance posture, and cultural readiness — and delivers a clear roadmap for what to address first.
Most organizations have more AI potential than they realize — and fewer resources than they'd like. This engagement identifies, evaluates, and prioritizes the highest-value AI use cases for your specific business, from generative AI to predictive analytics to intelligent automation.
AI is only as powerful as the operating model it runs on. Drawing on decade-plus experience redesigning enterprise operations — from supply chain to quote-to-cash — Veronica helps companies build the structures, processes, and workflows that make transformation stick.
Who this is for
In the autoimmune space — and across healthcare broadly — patients are still largely absent from the decisions that most affect them. Research protocols are designed without their input. Clinical trials fail to reflect their lived experience. Outcomes are measured in endpoints that miss what patients actually care about.
This practice exists to change that. Veronica advises nonprofits, patient advocacy organizations, pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, and research consortia on how to systematically bring the patient perspective into their work — not as an afterthought, but as a strategic advantage that improves outcomes, accelerates trials, and builds the trust that drives lasting impact.
This practice welcomes organizations of all sizes — from early-stage nonprofits to global industry players.
